NEW to Infinity Hot Yoga? Here’s all You Need to Know to Get Started

Prepare for your class/Be organised2018-09-23T07:36:39+00:00

Choose your class from our schedule, if you have never yoga’d before stay away from Evolve & Wild. If you’re really nervous about starting Hot Yoga come to Elementary, our beginner’s class.

Wear light comfortable clothes, it is hot yoga so remember you will sweat a lot so anything heavy or baggy will be uncomfortable. Shorts/leggings and vest or dry flow top are suitable.

Bring a yoga mat two large towels and water. For your convenience we do have mats to borrow, towels to hire & water to buy.

For your comfort try not to eat too much in the 2 hours before class.

Hydrate well, drink at least one litre of water throughout the day before your class.

At the studio2018-09-23T07:50:53+00:00

All classes start on time. Arrive 15 minutes before class begins to allow yourself time to sign in and prepare for class.

When you arrive at the studio, even if you have booked online, please check in at the desk.
Always let your instructor know if you have any niggles or injuries or anything that may restrict your practice.

In the Hot Room2018-12-13T19:30:44+00:00

No shoes.

No phones, phones should be on silent and placed in lockers provided.

Try not to place your mat directly in front of another person, likewise, for your comfort try not to set up directly behind another person. Stagger each row.

If you feel like resting during the class sit/lie down on your mat and drink some water.

Just listen to your body and do as much as you can, stay within your pain free range of movement.

It is important to stay until the end of class, ‘cos that’s the best bit… So, even if you feel like leaving, sit/lie down, have a drink and when you feel better you can join back in with the class.

After Class2018-11-23T16:48:23+00:00

Hot YogaIf you have used one of our mats, please hang it up on hooks in the mat drying area and use mat spray provided.

You’re welcome to use our changing facilities and showers, so bring your stuff.

Hydrate to replace fluids lost through sweating, so approx. 1-2 litres of water. It is also very important to replace electrolytes by eating plenty of fruit, vegetables, seeds & nuts, and using a little bit of rock/sea salt with your main meal.

Why the heat?2018-12-13T19:31:52+00:00

The heat is your friend! It improves muscle elasticity allowing you to stretch your muscles more effectively. Joint mobility is also improved as the heat makes synovial fluid in the joint less viscous so that it can move around and lubricate your joints more effectively. The heat also helps to improve your circulation bringing oxygen and nutrients to the tissues of the body and removing metabolic wastes (aka toxins). Your skin is the largest system in the body and it gets a great workout as you sweat all over. You will be warm and comfortable when lying on the floor for your final savasanah so you will be able to relax without feeling cold.

What if I’m not flexible?2018-09-23T08:09:40+00:00

Saying that you’re not flexible enough to do yoga is like saying that you’re too hungry to eat, or too dirty to take a bath! So, no excuses come on in and you will improve your flexibility, just be patient with yourself and stay within your pain free range of motion.

What classes can I attend?2018-09-23T08:10:39+00:00
